At each of the 6 gardens, the owner will tell the story of how their garden has been created and what wildlife it attracts. The route is approximately 3 miles and will take about 3 hours to complete.

23^rd June 2011	The Tree Warden Scheme Find out about the national tree warden scheme and meet your local tree wardens over a cup of tea afterwards.Brief talk about The Tree Warden Scheme by Nicola Williams, B&DBC Tree Officer, followed by a leisurely stroll around the village looking at some notable trees.

The garden has appeared on BBC Gardeners' World as well as in many garden magazines. OBS members visited the garden in June last year.

6^th November 2010	Shrub clearance at Micheldever Spoil Heaps - "The Chalkies" We hope to continue with the good progress made at our last work party, clearing encroaching saplings from this Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust nature reserve in the south of the parish (just before the A303).

18^th September 2010	Dormouse nut hunt Participate in our dormouse survey: we will learn to identify hazel nuts gnawed by dormouse before heading to the harrow way to look for evidence of dormouse there (2-3 mile walk).

Talks, workshops and displays on sustainable development issues affecting both Overton and the wider global community. Keynote Speaker Prof. Tim Wheeler, Reading University. Deputy Chief Scientist and Deputy Director of Research at the Department for International Development (DfID). Other speakers from OXFAM, WaterAid and Action Aid and Adam Trickett (OBS!) on Low Carbon Living.
